Day by day

1. Day 1

   Ouarzazate – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Dades Gorge

   We drive east into the Skoura oasis and visit the Amridil Kasbah, one of the best-preserved earthen fortresses in the south. The road continues through Kelaat M'Gouna, where damask roses are grown and distilled, then turns north into the Dades Gorge past the Monkey Fingers formations. Night in a guesthouse looking onto the canyon.

2. Day 2

   Dades – Todra Gorge – Tinghir – Ouarzazate

   In the morning we climb the famous switchbacks for the view back down the valley, then cross to the Todra Gorge. There is time to walk the canyon floor where climbers work the walls, and to see the irrigation channels of the Tinghir oasis, before we return west along the kasbah road to Ouarzazate.
