Travel to the Ourika Valley in Morocco by 4×4 and the Setti Fatima Waterfall and the Ourika Valley’s lush greenry. Take a day off from the city heat to escape southeast of Marrakech, travel in an air-conditioned Land Cruiser to explore the high atlas Mountains, we will drive through the scenery road at the foothills of the high atlas Mountians to reach the Lake of Lalla Takerkouste and the Kik Plateau to enjoy one of the beautiful panoramic views over the high atlas mountains, after many stops for photos, we will continue to reach the village of Asni, famous by its Saturday weekly market, from the village we will cross the adobe berber villages through the curving green road towards the valley of Ourika, if it’s Monday then, you will have the opportunity to visit the Souk Tnine de L’orika, the gateway to the pleasant Ourika Valley.

Itinerary
►Take a day off from the city heat to escape southeast of Marrakech, travel in an air-conditioned Land Cruiser to explore the high atlas Mountains, we will drive through the scenery road at the foothills of the high atlas Mountians to reach the Lake of Lalla Takerkouste and the Kik Plateau to enjoy one of the beautiful panoramic views over the high atlas mountains, after many stops for photos, we will continue to reach the village of Asni, famous by its Saturday weekly market, from the village we will cross the adobe berber villages through the curving green road towards the valley of Ourika, if it’s Monday then, you will have the opportunity to visit the Souk Tnine de L’orika, the gateway to the pleasant Ourika Valley.
►En route we will stop at an Argan Cooperative where you a witness women cultivating the Argan nut to make Argan oil, Argan butter, and cosmetic products. The cooperative is run by women and a free tasting of the Argan products in the Ourika Valley Argan Cooperative is also offered.

►Next visit the Nectarome offers a wide range of activities that you can partake in from traditional breadmaking to Spa services and hearty meals.
►Guided tour of Nectarome Gardens. Nectarome specializes in the field of phyto aromatherapy and the distillation of aromatic plants that grow naturally in the wild or are organically cultivated. In the one hectare organic garden at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains in the Ourika Valley they grow more than 50 aromatic and medicinal plants for research, development and educational purposes. Based on Moroccan traditional medicine they off a wide line of wellness products made with pure and natural essential oils with all products made on the premises. With several areas to relax in the garden you can take in the fragrance of the many herbs or taste them in the traditional recipes prepared on site.
►Option to visit the Saffron Gardens and the local organize Saffron Farm if time allows.
►The souk, located near a picturesque zaouia with a rock drop background, has the largest souk of the valley every Monday. Your driver will stop and browse at local crafts and other Moroccan treasures.
►The next forty miles of road will be filled with gardens, land cultivated by palm tree plantations and fruit trees, tiny hamlets, summer homes, and cafes and restaurants where it is possible to have lunch in a traditional auberge or if you prefer something more key, a picnic facing the snow capped mountain and overlooking the Ourika River.
►Moving through the valley we will visit Setti Fatma, a favorite weekend resort of many Marrakshis that is appreciated for its beautiful streams and waterfalls. We will visit the famous tomb of Setti Fatma. During the middle of August an exciting four day festival takes place over the tomb.
►After the tomb, we will drive around the valley enjoying views of high green terraces, surrounding Atlas peaks, rocky village foothills and the seven waterfalls that surround the village.
►Before returning to Marrakech, option to trek along some of the pretty trails. If you seek adventure, climbing up rock carvings, gorges, and crests is an option. See wet meadows, daffodils, romulea and other unique flora. Among the wildlife, you will encounter reptiles, blue tussocks, painted frogs, the Moorish gecko, falcons, and the crimson winged finch. This ends your Morocco Travel experience.
